Job Description

An opportunity exists for a skilled professional to support students in an educational setting through the role of a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This position is designed for individuals with a strong background in providing therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students.
• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and parents.
• Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Conduct screenings and assess students speech and language needs.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
• Support students in developing effective communication skills through group and individual activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to facilitate student needs.
