Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Electrical Engineer to support electrical design activities for PAC-3 production, sustainment and capacity assurance contracts.  You will join our Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL.  We design, sustain, and upgrade next generation electronics concepts, and we support analog and digital circuit card assembly ( CCA ) design.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Translate electrical requirements into system architecture and hardware architecture , detailed interface specifications, and build/ test plans .

  • Create and release engineering drawings, schematics, and PCB layouts to support fabrication and integration.

  • Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and troubleshooting using tools such as PSpice , LTSpice , Simplis , or equivalent.

  • Develop and execute verification tests and validation tests in the lab using oscilloscope s, DMM s, spectrum analyzer s, power supplies, and other test equipment; analyze results and iterate designs.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and components; make recommendations for design improvements and technology investments to meet program needs.

  • Produce clear technical documentation, design reviews, and test reports to support program milestones and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, reliability, and sustainment teams to ensure producibility, testability, and maintainability of designs.

  • Support configuration management and change control activities; ensure designs meet applicable standards and requirements.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3.

  • Demonstrated experience in electrical design and electrical analysis .

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering.

  • Subject Matter Expert in  electrical design with proven prior design experience.

  • Hands-on experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, DMM, spectrum analyzer, power supply, etc.

  • Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, and Python.

  • Experience with  circuit design (including Integrated Circuit Design, Analog Circuit Design, mixed-signal IC Design) and circuit simulation software such as PSpice, LTSpice, Simplis, or equivalents.

  • Schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board ( PCB ) Design experience with  Altium, Mentor Graphics Siemens , or other drafting CAD tools.

  • Familiarity with  FPGA and microcontrollers.

  • Active Security Clearance.

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range:

Level 2: $91,800 to 124,200

Level 3: $112,200 to 151,800
