The Role

Organizational Impact

As a member of the Creative Team, the Art Director will report to a Creative Director and collaborate with the other members of the team - including Designers, Writers, and the Group Creative Director - to create meaningful and effective work for food, beverage, supplement, pet, and ingredient clients in B2B and B2C industries. The Art Director will also collaborate frequently with the Account, Strategy, and Media Teams.

Accountabilities

  • Presentation
    • Create engaging presentations to sell your ideas.
    • Present work internally to team members with confidence and strategic reasoning.
    • Growth in presentation proficiency will lead to client-facing presentations with the right opportunities.
  • Art Direction
    • Develop creative concepts and visual design strategies to communicate brand messages clearly.
    • Think through design planning of projects with many stages and deliverables.
    • Execute design ideas independently or work with a Graphic Designer or Production Designer to produce finished product.
    • Ensure brand guidelines are followed across all design elements.
  • Design
    • Design across all platforms.
    • Create visual assets including logos, typography, color palettes, imagery, and compositions.
    • Turn feedback into even better work.
  • Production
    • Produce print- and web-ready work, sometimes alone, or in coordination with the Production Designer dependent upon the project.
  • Channel-Specific Best Practices
    • Create thoughtful and channel-appropriate creative including social media graphics, digital ads, and white papers.
    • Stay updated on channel-specific requirements and implement in deliverables.

You

  • 5+ years of advertising or related field of experience and the skills to match
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and PowerPoint
  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign proficiency is necessary, AfterEffects is preferred)
  • Proficiency in web design application (Sketch preferred, Figma or XD acceptable)
  • A portfolio website with examples of produced work
