Accounting Assistant

CFS of New York is representing a London-based textiles company looking for a bookkeeper for their Brooklyn office in the beautiful Sunset Park neighborhood. Close to the D, N, Q, R, & W trains, there is also a shuttle that runs between the station and their office building, making for an easy commute. Parking can also be arranged.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:

• Review past due balance report and determine cause of past due amounts; follow up with clients if necessary.
• Determine which problem accounts to place with 3rd party collection agency
• Assist VP of Finance with all state and local sales tax audits &/or projects
• Assist in preparation of monthly expense reports

Qualifications of the Accounting Assistant:

• Intermediate Excel and Word skills
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Organized, hands on, and detail oriented

Salary range: $50000-$55000
