SF SeniorBeat , an online magazine profiling adults over 50 in San Francisco, is looking for a writer/assistant editor to join its staff. The position, funded by the SF ReServe program, pays $30/hour for 10 hours/week. It is open to city residents 60+ years old or 18 to 59 years old, living with a disability. Applicants will have some journalism experience and published writing – a journalism degree is highly desired; be comfortable doing outreach to find candidates for profiles; and be able, on occasion, to undertake the editing of other writers' profiles. Applicants must be comfortable and able to seek out people to profile, conduct in-person and Zoom interviews. The ability to take photographs by smart phone or camera a plus.
