Welder Position

We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team in a dynamic large-scale manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various welding processes and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawings.
• Verify correct quantity and quality of parts welded.
• Layout stitch welds, locations of weld, and weld size for welders.
• Work from drawings, patterns, fixtures, and specifications.
• Layout and operate both fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes.
• Move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations, and practices.
• Assist with the welding of weldments.
• Perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening operations as directed.
• Perform the following welding processes: SMAW, GMAW, SAW, and TIG.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions.

Essential skills:

• Experience with MIG, hardwire, steel, blueprint, weld, flux, sub arc, hardwire, blueprint, GMAW, flux core, fabrication, and fitting.
• Minimal welding experience, blueprint reading, and basic shop math.
• Competency with large-scale open table setup and ideally flux core (1/16 or 3/32).
• Heavy plate experience is a plus.
• 3 years of flux core, sub arc, MIG or hardwire welding.
• 3 years of blueprint reading experience.

Additional skills & qualifications:

• Candidates with under 3 years of welding experience will be considered if they possess welding certificates or associate degrees in welding.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
