We currently have a class A or B driver position available for our Knoxville, TN facility. Actual starting wage depends on experience. Job Requirements

Successful candidates for the Delivery Driver role are motivated and eager to provide a high level of customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a safe manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, but are not all-inclusive.

• Maintains good DOT and company records including delivery and pickup paperwork.
• Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered.
• Maintains truck log, according to state, federal, and company regulations.
• Maintains telephone contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Safely Loads and unloads truck.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Positions blocks and ties rope/straps around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Must be able to have a flexible schedule based on routing of deliveries and the possibility of two overnight stays per week.
• Complete initial training and various training on an ongoing basis.
• Must maintain a positive and professional attitude and be dependable.
• Must be able to drive a manual shift transmission truck.
• Must wear required PPE and have steel toed boots.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current CDL A or B License with a clean MVR. Must pass Driver's Testing, and DOT Physical / Drug Testing (Company Paid)
• Must pass a tape measure test as well as a criminal background check.
• Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling, and able to lift glass up to 75 lbs. in various weather conditions throughout the year
• Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills as well as understanding the use of a GPS.
• Understand the use of an ELD.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a delivery driver position.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 70 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures.
• Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, sit, lift, push, and pull repetitively and/or throughout the duration of the shift.
• Steel toe boots required (not company provided).
