About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Development to lead its fundraising efforts with a focus on individual giving. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Development team, including direct oversight of 5 reports and 3 additional indirect reports. This role is pivotal in creating and executing annual fundraising strategies, particularly in the areas of major and mid-level donors, workplace giving, planned giving, and various fundraising campaigns. The Vice President will also be a key partner in supporting grants, corporate, and charitable foundation partnerships, with a significant annual revenue goal and a strong emphasis on year-over-year growth. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of nonprofit fundraising experience, with at least 5 years' in major gift fundraising, and a proven track record of success. The role requires exceptional communication skills, strong leadership, and the ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings. The Vice President will be expected to manage a personal portfolio of major donor prospects, cultivate relationships, and ensure the Foundation's programs and priorities are effectively communicated to donors. Proficiency in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is strongly preferred, and the candidate should be adept at using data to drive fundraising strategies and decisions. The position demands a high level of organization, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a deep commitment to the mission of the organization.
