ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Henderson, Kentucky.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
\n• Every third weekend requirement and every other holiday rotation
\n• 13-week contract with bi-weekly orientation starting 1/12
\n• First to float within skillset to other campus locations (Deaconess Newburgh 8 miles away, Deaconess Gateway 11 miles away)
\n• 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
\n• Care for stepdown/PCU patient population including sepsis, CHF, COPD, DKA, cirrhosis, dementia, and surgical patients
\n• Manage drips including insulin, heparin, and cardiac medications
\n• Telemetry interpretation required (must pass telemetry tests)
\n• Patient ratios: Night shift 1:5-6 patients
\n• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
\n• May require precepting of students and new hires
\n• Required certifications: Current active compact nursing license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
\n• Minimum 2 years RN experience including 1 solid year of stepdown/PCU experience and 1 travel assignment
\n• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
\n• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills essential
\n• 3 call-ins can result in termination

\nThis healthcare facility operates as a teaching hospital with excellent staff retention and an experienced nursing team. The organization features a smaller facility environment that promotes great teamwork among seasoned nursing staff. The stepdown unit consists of 10 beds and the telemetry unit has 15 beds, providing comprehensive care for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment.
