Title - System Administrator
Location - Kansas City, MO
Rate - $40 to $55 per hour on W2 with benefits
Terms - 6 months on contract with conversion to direct hire
Important Note - Prior or past Managed Service Provider (MSP) is preferred This contract-to-hire position requires you to be on-site three days a week and remote for two days. If you are not from the surrounding Kansas City area, please don't apply. Our Position The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, and experience working with various clients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires working independently, managing multiple priorities, and providing exceptional technical support to our clients.
Responsibilities for this role: - Perform system upgrades and migrations, including server, email, and cloud migrations.
- Provide technical support to clients, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and maintain client backups, disaster recovery plans, and antivirus solutions.
- Manage and monitor client networks, including servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Respond to and resolve service tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate complex issues to Level 3 technicians or vendor support as necessary.
- Collaborate with Level 1 technicians and other team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and ensure client satisfaction.
Skills Requirements: - At least 3-5 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a managed services environment.
- Must have strong experience with O365, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) preferred or TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Splashtop, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and Parallels RAS
- Strong experience working with Windows operating systems, networking, hardware, and software.
- Knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Solid experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with cloud services such as Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
