About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established medical coordination provider to hire a Surgery Scheduler. This organization specializes in managing the medical and legal care of patients involved in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Surgery Scheduler to support a small, fast-paced team. This role serves as the central point of contact for patients, legal teams, and medical professionals—ensuring all steps of the scheduling and pre/post-operative processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritize a high volume of incoming scheduling-related emails
• Coordinate patient procedures, including pre-authorization and medical clearance
• Serve as liaison between legal, medical, and patient teams to facilitate communication
• Arrange transportation and confirm patient readiness for appointments
• Coordinate bi-weekly pain injection appointments and post-op follow-ups
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including creation of paper charts
• Provide ongoing updates to all stakeholders on scheduling status and next steps
• Support general scheduling needs and assist team as required

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with surgery or procedure scheduling
• Familiarity with both medical and financial clearance processes
• Exposure to Personal Injury or Workers' Compensation cases is a plus
• Proficient with computers; Medisoft experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with patients and remain calm under pressure

Additional Details:

• Contract-to-hire opportunity
• Monday–Friday, 9:00AM–5:00PM (with some flexibility every other Thursday)
• Interviews starting immediately
• Background check and drug screening required
• Target start date: Early July
