Job Description

A Special Education Teacher is needed for an elementary school setting in Wauchula, FL, on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on providing tailored educational support to students with special needs, ensuring they receive an inclusive and effective learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning requirements.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet the unique needs of special education students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
• Monitor and document student performance and behavior, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Promote a supportive and positive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education program.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
