About The Team The Fraud and Risk Analytics team is responsible for detecting and preventing fraudulent activities that may endanger the health of the World ecosystem. Our unique growth model involves a global network of Orb Operators to distribute Worldcoin, leading to challenges such as large-scale incentive fraud, social engineering fraud, and presentation attacks. Sophisticated fraud and risk analytics are essential for long-term success. About The Opportunity You will be on the front lines fighting fraud, responsible for manually reviewing and investigating fraud alerts globally, monitoring our fraud platform for anomalies, and ensuring high-quality investigations. In This Role, You Will Monitor real-time events flagged for fraud and review them using your expertise; Lead root cause analysis to identify opportunities for prediction, prevention, and mitigation of fraud; Investigate individual events to determine if they are fraudulent, following internal policies; Understand our products and tools; analyze behavioral patterns with SQL and data visualization tools; Research fraud and user behavior to improve detection systems in partnership with the Data Science team; Handle escalations from stakeholders professionally and efficiently. About You Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; 5+ years of experience investigating and resolving fraud incidents; Experience analyzing data and making impactful decisions in fast-paced environments; 3+ years of data analysis experience; proficient in SQL; Programming skills in at least one high-level language (e.g., Python); Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and excellent problem-solving skills; Strong business judgment and communication skills; Availability during periods of heightened risk, including weekends and holidays; Experience in fintech, payments, lending, banking, or financial institutions is a plus; Available to start within two weeks of an offer. Location: Munich or San Francisco. Candidates elsewhere are expected to relocate. Pay Transparency The estimated salary range is $182,000 - $215,000 , plus incentives.
