This role is responsible for executing that vision end-to-end, translating creative direction into production-ready designs across seasonal collections, core programs, and special projects. The Senior Designer will also serve as the primary point of contact with factories, owning all communication related to product development, fittings, and sampling. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creatively strong, and capable of independently managing the design process from concept through final approval.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design Direction Execution
Partner closely with the President and Founder to interpret and execute the brands creative vision.
Translate high-level design direction, references, and mood boards into cohesive, on-brand product designs.
Ensure all designs reflect brand identity, seasonal themes, and business objectives.
Own creative execution while incorporating feedback and approvals from leadership.
  2. End-to-End Design Execution & Factory Communication
Manage the full design lifecycle from initial concept through final production approval.
Create original graphics, prints, placements, and apparel designs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD tools.
Design across core and fashion categories including T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, jackets, accessories, and specialty items.
Execute SKU-level designs in alignment with merchandising plans and sales strategy.
Own and manage the design and development calendar to ensure all milestones are met.
Develop detailed, production-ready tech packs with accurate specs, construction details, and artwork files.
Own all direct communication with domestic and overseas factories related to product development, sampling, revisions, approvals, and production orders.
Review samples, provide clear fit and construction feedback, and drive revisions through approval.
Ensure production orders accurately reflect approved designs, materials, and specifications.
Maintain and update development WIP documents and trackers throughout the process.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Production, Sales, and Merchandising to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with margin targets.
Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, and Social teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and visual consistency across launches and campaigns.
  4. Trend & Market Awareness
Stay current on trends across fashion, streetwear, pop culture, art, and music.
Monitor competitor assortments and market activity to inform design execution.
Bring relevant inspiration and insights into design discussions with leadership.
  5. Sample Review & Final Approval
Lead sample reviews, evaluating fit, fabrication, construction, and graphic execution.
Incorporate feedback from the President and Founder and cross-functional partners.
Drive designs through final approval, ensuring all brand, quality, and timing standards are met.
