• Direct hire, permanent role\n\t
• Salary: $90,000-$105,000\n\t
• Onsite in Mesa, AZ. May be opportunity for hybrid schedule down the road\n

\n\n

Responsibilities:

\n\n

\n\t
• Participate in month-end closing including analyzing purchase price and order variances.\n\t
• Work with operations to resolve any identified errors.\n\t
• Prepare and input Journal Entries.\n\t
• Analyze inventory accounting and COGS to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.\n\t
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product cost data.\n\t
• Update /Review standard costs including BOMs and Routings.\n\t
• Will work with plant operations and engineering to update and maintain routings.\n\t
• Work with purchasing on obtaining new material and packaging costs and input into SAP.\n\t
• Estimate standard costs for new products\n\t
• Assist in Inventory Management\n\t
• Assist with the accounting analyst and inventory team on conducting and reviewing cycle count/physical inventories.\n\t
• Work with the materials review board to ensure proper reserves for obsolete inventory\n\t
• Reconcile inventory to general ledger.\n\t
• Assist in Capital Management\n\t
• Track capital spending and report on variance to budget and midterm plan\n\t
• Manage record keeping for capital projects from approval to close including transfers from CIP to final asset in SAP.\n\t
• Retire assets in SAP as required.\n\t
• Conduct asset inventory audit.\n\t
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations\n\t
• Manage open items to resolution\n\t
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process\n\t
• Annual standard cost development including a review of BOM’s, routing and materials costs.\n\t
• Preparation of Labor and Overhead rates for the various business areas\n\t
• Local site spending budgets and proper allocation of spending to the business units\n\t
• Assist in documenting procedures as needed.\n

Requirements:

\n\n

\n\t
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required\n\t
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP\n\t
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills\n\t
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\n\t
• 3-5+ years of experience in cost accounting, must have experience in the manufacturing industry\n
