The Research Assistant will provide research and administrative support to the principal investigator(s) (PI) of the assigned project(s). The incumbent will assist the PI in meeting the objectives of a HRSA-funded curricular development grant within the Division of General Internal Medicine, including data collection through review and analysis of qualitative and quantitative educational data, creating educational materials and presentations, assistance with writing study reports and IRB applications, and assistance in preparing scholarly articles and presentations. The incumbent will help manage applications for new funding opportunities. The incumbent will also provide administrative support to the PI, including scheduling, processing reimbursements and assisting with submitting manuscripts for publication. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $100,200 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
The UCSF Division of General Internal Medicine at ZSFG excels in delivering high quality, culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate primary and preventive health care; conducting innovative, population-based and epidemiological research; and training the best doctors of the future. The Division, which houses 30 faculty and 47 staff, aims to deliver innovative, comprehensive and complex primary care to San Francisco's vulnerable patients; carry out highly impactful translational research to improve the health of vulnerable populations; to engage in meaningful policy work focused on reducing health disparities and ensuring access to care for vulnerable populations; and to train the next generation of physician leaders in (a) the care of the underserved, (b) research and policy for the underserved, and (c) education regarding the care of the underserved.
