Part time, some availability on weekends.

Monday - Friday 4:30p - 9p

SUMMARY

Currently this is a weekend position. Additional Hours may be offered when the weekday receptionist is out. Typically the position will be 8am 4:30pm on Saturdays and 1:00-5:00 on Sundays. The receptionist is the first person to greet a visitor. When Covid-19 protocol is in play, the receptionist will remind families to take temperatures, sign in completely for Covid-19 screening, don appropriate PPE (usually a mask) and wash hands before entering the patient care hall. The receptionist is expected to be well groomed, dressed in casual office attire that is decent within a senior faith based environment, and in good repair. The individual must be organized and able to use a computer including WORD and OUTLOOK. Some EXCEL knowledge is helpful. May be asked to occasionally assist with resident therapeutic activities.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of the Receptionist include, but are not limited to:
  • Interfaces with visitors, patients, staff, volunteers, contracted staff, emergency response agencies and facility staff frequently. This includes any visitors to the Assured Care wing who may need to be directed to Assured Care area or staff
  • Is subject to frequent interruption and phone calls
  • Communicates to weekday receptionist if office supplies are needed
  • Maintains office supply inventory neatly and adequate for staff needs
  • Assists administrator and managers with clerical tasks a needed. May assist in other periodic tasks
  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with other departments within facility
  • Assists in assembling and /or keeping manuals updated as requested by Administrator or Director of Nursing
  • May assist in other tasks as requested, such as assisting with bank deposits if applicable
  • Will transfer calls, roll over calls when away from the desk for meal or break
  • Consistently demonstrates professionalism in demeanor and appearance
  • Uses good judgement and problem solving skills with visitors and residents
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Attends all mandatory training, including annual fire, OSHA and CDC program
  • Practices in adherence to national standards for electronic health care transactions and code sets, unique health identifiers, and security, including passwords and user ID codes, in compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA. Notifies Administrator, or Director of Nursing in the absence of the Administrator, of any known violations
  • Renders all services "without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, the presence of medical condition or handicap, or any other legally protected status."
  • Adheres to the Fraud and Abuse standards of the facility in accordance with the Corporate Compliance Policy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have the following skills, traits and experience:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in SNF setting or AL setting is helpful
  • High level PC literacy and proficiency in Word and Outlook preferred. Some basic knowledge of EXCEL preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of facsimile machines, copiers and scanners
  • Applicant must be self-directed and demonstrate ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies and procedure of Stone River Manor. Must have Covid-19 vaccination proof as required by CMS or have either an approved medical or religious exception. Must be able to wear an N-95 mask and goggles if required during an infection outbreak. Must be able to work around and use OSHA approved general cleaners and disinfectants. Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 10 pounds. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position. Must possess hearing and sight, with or without use of prosthetics that enables these senses to function adequately, adequate to fully meet the requirements of the job. Must frequently communicate with people of varying physical ability, education and comprehension who have inquiries about the facility services. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations within the scope of authority and training. Must be able to transfer calls to appropriate manager/department
