GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Phoenix Air is seeking a Gulfstream III Captain with international PIC experience, an ATP, a valid US passport, and the ability to obtain security clearance, as well as meet requirements to fly internationally (Europe). Applicants must meet ICAO PIC requirements for the next 2 years, as well as pass an FAA background check and drug screen. The Captain is responsible for the operation of the aircraft. When assigned to a flight, the captain has the final authority regarding the operation of the aircraft. The captain ensures that all flight and ground operations are conducted at the highest levels of safety and comply with federal aviation regulations, applicable foreign regulations, department and company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the airworthiness of the aircraft to which assigned, and for the safety of the passengers and crew on board.

• The captain accomplishes the duties of pilot-in-command, as defined by Federal Aviation Regulations, the aircraft flight manual, and the

department policy and operations manual and is operationally responsible for all phases of the flight.

• Develop and maintain a complete knowledge, understanding and a mastery of the aircraft systems.

• Makes decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights, or deviate from planned routes, or destinations, when operating conditions dictate.

• Develop and maintain the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, corporate executives and customers and express verbal and

written thoughts coherently and logically.

• Keeps fully informed on FAA and foreign regulations, and department policy pertaining to operations.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a valid Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate aircraft type ratings.

• FAA First Class Medical.

• Recent flight experience.

• Ability to demonstrate understanding of regulations.

• Unrestricted Passport.

• FCC Radio License.

• No Violations or FAA actions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Sit without standing for long periods of time in pilot’s seat or assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened without any

modifications.

• Adhere to the visual demands set in the medical standards established by the FAA.

• Hear clearly verbal communications in person, on the telephone, and over a headset with ambient aircraft and passenger noise.

• Move about the aircraft and perform all required functions freely, effectively and quickly in confined environment.

• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.

• Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
