OCHSNER HEALTH BATON ROUGE – DEPARTMENT OF LIFESTYLE MEDICINE

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge currently has a FULL-TIME opportunity for a lifestyle medicine doctor to join its busy practice. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lifestyle medicine doctor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lifestyle medicine and will be responsible for providing personalized, evidence-based medical care that integrates these two approaches to promote optimal health and wellness for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate lifestyle factors, genetic predispositions, and other relevant health indicators.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate lifestyle modifications, such as nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and sleep optimization, tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify markers that may impact disease risk, treatment response, and overall health outcomes.
• Stay current with advancements in lifestyle medicine research, and integrate new evidence-based practices into clinical care.
• Educate and empower patients to take an active role in their health management and disease prevention through lifestyle modifications and personalized treatment strategies.
• Participate in community outreach and educational programs to promote awareness of lifestyle and precision medicine approaches and their potential impact on public health.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, or preventive medicine).
• Additional training or certification in lifestyle medicine, precision medicine, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate patients to make sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the rapidly evolving fields of lifestyle and precision medicine.
• Experience in developing and running a lifestyle medicine clinic preferred but not required
