Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Job Description

Join a well-established, family-owned and operated material handling dealership as a Payroll Administrator. This critical full-time position is based out of our Yakima, Washington branch. Since 1978, we have been helping businesses in Washington state by providing the equipment and training they need to boost productivity, improve workplace safety, and eliminate inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Input new employees into the computer system and set up personnel files.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of enrollments, terminations, and payroll changes.
• Enter payroll deductions into the payroll system accurately and promptly.
• Process payroll by pulling timecard information and verifying accuracy for each employee.
• Maintain all personnel-related records, health, welfare, retirement files, and employee benefit files.
• Make tax deposits using the payroll register for the required amounts.
• Respond to employee and internal department inquiries regarding payroll or benefit information.
• Handle company commissions and CSS payroll.
• Run the monthly payroll accrual report and journalize amounts to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly OT and payroll reporting for ownership.
• Perform any other duties as delegated by the Controller.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years' experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.
• Two- or four-year college degree is highly considered.
• A passion for the customer and a can-do attitude.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Wenatchee, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
