We are seeking a detail-oriented  Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk to work on-site and support our accounting team. This role will be approximately 20 hours a week and is contract to hire. The role involves processing invoices, coding expenses, and vendor management to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Code expenses and assign appropriate account classifications.
• Reconcile discrepancies in invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Assist with payment preparation (checks, ACH, etc.).
• Maintain organized and accurate AP records.
• Support other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; coursework in accounting/finance is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions.

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing.
• Ability to manage relationships with multiple vendors effectively.
• Familiarity with automated payment systems, including ACH transactions.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
