Job Description
Painter (Powder Coater)
Powder Coat sheet metal parts to meet company quality standards.
Responsibilities:· Ensures product quality meets standards by frequently checking work.
· Maintenance of the spray gun parts and booths according to instructions.
· Cleaning and keeping work area tidy including basic maintenance of machine/tools.
· Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled.
Required Skills:
· Must know how to follow instructions in the preparation of products prior to powder coating.
· Must know how to use powder coating ovens to cure powder coated products.
· Experienced in Powder coating of products in a spray booth according to specifications.
· Cleaning down of spray guns and spray booths correctly.
· Ensuring health and & safety issue procedures are followed.
· Basic computer skills.
· Plans procedures and selects paint and materials to follow work order to completion.
· Ensures work orders are completed and parts painted according to requested specifications.
· Responsible for ensuring powder booth is properly cleaned and prepared for powder change overs
· Loads and unloads parts to the powder coat racks

· Works with other employees to maintain a safe work environment by following defined safety procedures, encouraging employee involvement, following up on safety concerns, and modeling proper safe behaviors.
· Propose improvements to quality procedures based on observations of production process.
· Operate forklift.

· Must be able to stand 8 hours
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
