Join our team! Looking for an experienced Welder. Lays out, fits, and welds metal components as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order to assemble structural forms by performing the following duties.
\n - Rate: $21.00 - $25.00/hour
\n - Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm
\n - Must pass a Multiquip Welder Certification test within three months of employment.
\n - Weld Certification pass is an automatic $2.00 increase.
\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily Operations and Workflow \n - Follow daily signal reports to complete assigned tasks.
\n - Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding activities.
\n
\n
Assembly and Welding \n - Lay out, position, align, and fit components in jigs or fixtures.
\n - Secure parts using bolts, clamps, and tack welds to prepare for welding.
\n - Perform welding along flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead weld lines.
\n - Examine welds to ensure specifications, including bead size, are met.
\n - Pressure-test welds to confirm air-tight retention of fluids.
\n - Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
\n

Repair and Modifications \n - Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
\n - Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and build up metal parts.
\n
\n
Material Preparation and Tools \n - Use chop saws, hand plasma cutters, cutting torches, and/or belt sanders to fit parts.
\n - Change out welding gas cylinders and weld wire as required.
\n
\n
Safety and Equipment Handling \n - Safely operate forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), power buggies, hoists, and scissor lifts per supervisor's discretion.
\n - Pay careful attention and use care when handling machinery and equipment.
\n
\n
Other Duties \n - Perform additional duties as assigned.
\n - Regular and predictable attendance is required.
\n
\n
Education and Work Experience Requirements \n - Associate's Degree or Welder Certificate from a technical college or trade school preferred; or six months to one year of related experience/training ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
\n - Experience working with Robotic Weld is highly desirable.
\n - Proficiency in interpreting prints and welding symbols is preferred.
\n - Ability to operate hand tools and air-powered tools.
\n - Ability to operate a hoist.
\n - Ability to read and use a tape measure and calipers.
\n
\n
Language Skills \n - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
\n - Ability to write simple correspondence.
\n - Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one interactions with other employees.
\n
\n
Mathematical Skills - Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
\n
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
\n
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations - Must pass a Multiquip Welder Certification test within three months of employment.
\n
Physical Requirements \n - Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
\n - Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
\n - Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
\n - Stand on your feet for up to 10 hours a day in a fast-paced environment.
\n - Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
\n - May be exposed to various chemicals, such as weld gas, spatter spray, and cleaners.
\n - The noise level in the environment is loud, and hearing protection is required.
\n

Compensation & Benefits: \n - Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm
\n - Pay wage: $21.00-$25.00/hr
