Medical Assistant II - Floater (Bilingual Chinese/Spanish)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated bilingual Medical Assistant to assist our medical providers. This role will report to our Medical Office Manager/Site Administrator and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry. You will be floating between ~4 different clinic locations. They may be located in Alhambra, Pasadena, and/or Arcadia, however this is subject to change due to business need. These sites are primary care and specialty clinics.

What You'll Do:

• Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician
• Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records
• Clinical duties may include, such as preparing a treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment
• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart
• Interviews patients to obtain their medical history
• Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-pace environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible
• May be required to work overtime to meet tight deadlines

Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual in Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) or Spanish
• One (1) or more years of experience working as a Medical Assistant
• Active and unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in California
• High school diploma or GED

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

• The total pay range for this role is $22 - $26 per hour.
• This role follows an onsite work structure where the expectation is to work onsite 5 days a week. This position requires working at multiple clinic locations as business operations require. The home office is located at 1658 W. Valley Blvd. Suite 120 Alhambra, CA 91803.
• Work hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, lunch hour at 12:30pm.
