Medmasa LLC is seeking a local contract Radiology Technician for a local contract job in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia.

Radiology Technician / Local position   

Location : Bruceton Mills, WV 26525 

Hourly rate: $26-28 + $4.93 (Health and Welfare) per hour

Schedule : The weekly schedule will normally consist of one 7.5-10 hour session per day, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. Work hours will normally be between 6am and 6pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Responsibilities:  

Provide radiological technician services commensurate with community standards which include, but are not limited to:

• Performing routine radiologic studies on the inmate population as ordered by appropriate clinicians.
• Using standard radiographic equipment, including but not limited to systems produced by GE Medical Systems and Kodak.
• Maintaining radiographic equipment through normal procedures including cleaning and sterilizing as well as minor troubleshooting or repairs.
• Serving as a technical consultant to clinicians and providing any necessary training to the mid-level practitioners and other clinical staff in the taking of x-rays.
• Completing a wide array of clerical and support duties including utilization of institutional-specific computer programs such as SENTRY. 

Requirements:  

• Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration (or the equivalent) in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or from other accrediting agencies as recognized by the Department of Education (DOE).
• Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R).
• Must possess proof of the current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Experience in providing healthcare in a correctional setting.
• Advanced ARRT certification.
