Job Type: Full-time, Part-time Location: Rhode Island and Massachusetts Department: Design & Aesthetic Services Employment Type: Active Compensation: $60,000 – $90,000 Per Year Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field (required). Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential or commercial interior design. Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in space planning, color theory, and material selection. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or equivalent. Knowledge of sustainable and modern design trends and their practical applications. Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate with clients and project teams. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and adapt to client needs. Familiarity with building codes, ADA compliance, and zoning requirements (preferred). Key Responsibilities Consult with clients to understand their style preferences, functional needs, and budget requirements. Create design concepts, including floor plans, 3D renderings, and mood boards, to present to clients. Select and source materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes that align with the project vision. Collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure design feasibility and implementation. Stay updated on sustainable materials and smart home solutions to offer eco-friendly and innovative options. Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations from start to finish. Visit project sites to assess progress and address any design challenges. Document design processes and maintain organized project records for future reference. Physical & Working Conditions Hybrid role with office work, on-site visits, and remote client consultations. May require occasional travel for sourcing materials or attending design expos and conferences.
