Job Purpose Provide Human Factors expertise to advance safety and usability of Welldoc’s SaMD and Digital Health applications throughout the product development process by supporting risk management activities and championing user-centered design principles. This highly visible role will provide input to design and development across a variety of products at different stages, from concept through post-market surveillance. Job Responsibilities Collaboration and Communication Solve problems, think creatively, and provide innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, clinical, marketing, quality, regulatory, and external vendors. Serve as SME on project team; make decisions and clearly communicate pertinent project/function information. Serve as Function representative in internal/external audits and with regulatory authorities. Human Factors Engineering Develop use-related requirements, study designs, HF plans, and HF reports to drive design and support regulatory submissions. Conduct task analyses, focus groups, formative and summative testing, data collection, and root cause analyses. Work cross-functionally to design and develop prototypes. Create and maintain Usability Engineering Files in compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements. Present findings and recommendations from usability studies to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, internally and/or externally, and share learnings within the organization. Stay updated on emerging regulatory and industry trends regarding risk management and human factors. Research tools and methods to optimize efficiency continually. Job Requirements Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Psychology, Systems Engineering, Human Factors, or related field. Ability to apply risk management and usability engineering principles to product research, development, and design. Experience conducting or supporting Human Factors activities for medical devices is a plus. Experience with medical device product development, ISO 62366, ISO 14791. Strong project management skills; ability to work independently or in teams. Hybrid work environment. Ability to travel 10-20% for external testing. Compensation & Benefits Welldoc offers a competitive package including salary, PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits, and participation in HSA and dependent care accounts. The salary range is approximately $85K-$140K, with most candidates around the midpoint. Upon receiving a conditional offer, candidates may need to complete a drug screening, in line with client requirements.
