Based in Mountain View, CA, our multi-modal smart earbud platform is designed to enhance sleep at night and boost energy throughout the day. Your Role

• We are a close-knit team of experts in hardware, software, machine learning, and neuroscience.
• Measurement & Data Collection : Develop protocols to measure fit and EEG signal quality across varied ear geometries.
• User Trials & Feedback : Plan and execute user studies to gather comfort and usability feedback. 
• Dashboard & Reporting : Implement dashboards to monitor fit statistics, comfort scores, and signal data at scale, enabling evidence-based design decisions.
• Recommendations & Iterations : Recommend revisions to earbud wings, tips, or overall mechanical design to enhance usability and signal accuracy.
• User-Focused Fit Guidance : Develop intuitive processes and guidelines that help users select the ideal earbud wing and tip configuration for their unique anatomy

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Demonstrated experience with user research or wearable device design.
• Familiarity with electrode/sensor contact and signal quality optimization in biomedical devices (EEG or similar).
• Comfort using data analytics tools (Python, R, or relevant platforms) to interpret signal and fit data.

Soft Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable product recommendations.
• Collaborative mindset to engage with software, mechanical, and design teams.
• High attention to detail in evaluating comfort, ergonomics, and device performance.
