Job Title: Graphic Designer

Status: Part Time

Location: Springfield, MO

Salon Service Group, founded over 32 years ago, is the nation's largest privately-owned professional beauty distributor. SSG proudly partners with the Professional Beauty Industry exclusively, through salons, spas and stylists. We have conveniently located, professionally exclusive wholesale stores representing our independently owned, high-end professional portfolio of haircare brands across SSG territories. Our highest priority is to provide our customers with the tools and support that they need for success.

Job Summary: Will produce a bi-monthly promotional magazine as well as marketing materials for our company and our customers. This position plays an integral role in the marketing success of the company.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Consistently create a diverse range of marketing materials including, but not limited to; advertisements, brochures, postcards, sales materials, pricing labels, etc.
• Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts
• Assist in the designing and production of promotional materials including magazines, newsletters, program guides, administrative materials, flyers, signs, posters, displays and program support materials
• Take photographs for publications
• Work with media partners

• Proven professional experience in graphic design required
• Firm grasp of how visual elements generate leads and sell products
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Print Layout
• Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, with a passion not just for design but also for the impact that design can have on people
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Creative and resourceful
• Timely and dependable

Education and Experience:

• Graphic design degree preferred
• Proven professional experience in graphic design required
