This position is available at our location in Kennett Square, PA. Position Summary: The Processing FSQA Technician II is an advanced-level technician who performs all the duties of Technician I, while also contributing to more strategic aspects of the Food Safety & Quality Assurance program. This role is responsible for providing training, supporting audits, identifying trends, and driving continuous improvement through data analysis, reporting, and project participation.
Qualifications: - High school completion or equivalent preferred
- College preferred or in progress in a related discipline
- Bilingual- English and Spanish Preferred
- Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and FSQA programs; prior audit or training experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry for trending and reporting purposes.
- Effective communication, leadership, training, and problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of food safety/quality experience in a processing or manufacturing environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform all Technician I responsibilities, including but not limited to food safety and quality checks, sampling, and GMP monitoring.
- Review food safety and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness; generate and track corrective actions as needed.
- Lead or assist in conducting internal audits; generate work orders and collaborate with departments on corrective actions.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct training to production staff on Quality Standards, FSQA programs, including refresher training, SOP adherence, and customer-specific requirements.
- Assist in writing, revising, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Develop and manage trend reports using collected data (e.g., ATP, EMP, quality checks, shelf-life studies, internal audit findings, customer feedback) to generate KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and share with stakeholders.
- Support preparation for third-party audits and customer visits; participate in audit walkthroughs and document preparation.
- Lead or support special FSQA projects under guidance of FSQA Supervisor or Manager.
- Participate in the reassessment of Quality Management System, Food Safety Plans and Food Defense programs.
- Serve as a lead technician on shift, providing guidance and mentorship to FSQA Tech I staff.
- Identify gaps in SOPs that require procedures, develop procedures as needed, and maintain accuracy of current procedures.
- Review and revise all Food Safety plans with the cooperation of area managers as directed by FSQA supervisor or manager.

- Good verbal and written ability in English & Spanish
- Ability to function well in team environment as well as work independently
- Strong public speaking ability, training multiple levels on various topics
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management is a must-multiple projects going on regularly
- Strong attention to detail
