Position: Endpoint Security Administrator

Location: Waukegan, IL (Onsite preferred; remote considered for strong candidates)

Duration: Through December 2027

Job Summary:

The role focuses on administering and supporting endpoint security tools with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and overall Microsoft security controls. This position involves managing client-side security software, troubleshooting complex endpoint issues, and ensuring proper protection across Windows, MacOS, and Linux environments. It is more of an administrative role rather than an engineering position, supporting ongoing security operations and lifecycle activities for a long-term project.

Must-Have:

• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) administration
• Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Firewall & BitLocker management
• Microsoft Intune Endpoint Security Administration (not Intune engineering)
• Strong troubleshooting of endpoint security tools
• Windows workstation & server experience; basic MacOS/Linux troubleshooting
• Microsoft Security experience (E3 → E5 environment)

Responsibilities:

• Support and troubleshoot client-side endpoint security software
• Manage Defender and maintain Microsoft Defender security policies and configurations
• Handle escalated endpoint security incidents and problem resolution
• Monitor endpoint health and report risks/issues to stakeholders
• Assist with DLP rollout and other security enhancements (preferred)
• Identify opportunities to improve endpoint security processes and tools
