Summary:
Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization as it relates to the Medical Staff privileging and credentialing activities.Responsibilities:
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, accreditation standards, medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations as well as departmental policies and procedures.Oversees staff operations, business planning and budget development. Updates policies and procedures. Oversees adherence to deadlines.Plans and monitors Medical Affairs staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and disciplinary actions.Provides administrative support to hospital administration and other departments as it relates to Medical Affairs and Credentialing.Competencies:

Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required.Required Work Experience: Three (3) years of medical staff/credentialing or experience working with Medical Staff Support. Two (2) years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.Other Information: Additional Education Info: Associate's degree in a job related field.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
