Job Title:

Data Center Technician

We are seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to join our IT team. This role involves troubleshooting large GPU deployments, server and network break-fix, and cabling within an enterprise data center environment. Candidates should have hands-on experience with rack installations, cabling standards, and ITSM ticket management.

• L4 Technician:
  • 3-5+ years of data center/networking experience
  • Expertise in troubleshooting GPU deployments
• L3 Technician:

1-3+ years of data center/networking experience

• Perform break-fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network, and cabling
• Deploy and configure GPUs in servers
• Rack and stack equipment, including fully populated GPU/network racks
• Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures
• Interpret BOMs and ensure material accuracy
• Manage tickets using ITSM tools
• Lead and manage team activities and ensure compliance with data center standards
• Provide documentation and daily updates using MS Office tools

• 3–10+ years in data center deployment and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), fiber optics (SM, MM, MPO)
• Experience with optical modules (SFP, QSFP)
• Familiarity with Microsoft data center environments
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects
• Willingness to travel as required

• A Side Days: Sun–Tue & every other Wed (6 AM–6 PM)
• A Side Nights: Same days (6 PM–6 AM)
• B Side Days: Thu–Sat & every other Wed (6 AM–6 PM)
• B Side Nights: Same days (6 PM–6 AM)

Up to $49.50/hour

Data center, deployment, fiber optic cable, rack and stack, cabling, troubleshooting, Cat6/Cat5, GPU

1. 3–7+ years of DC Tech experience (Break/Fix, Deployment, Troubleshooting)
2. GPU Deployment experience (preferred)
3. Hardware installation and cabling expertise

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $49.50/hr.
