Job Title : Controller

Location: Duncan, South Carolina

Scope : This full-time position serves as the senior leader for the accounting operations and reports directly to the company President.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Supervise, motivate, coach and review the staff of the Accounting Department: General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
2. Direct and produce timely and accurate month end and year end financial closings including GAAP compliant Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, forecasts and budgets
3. Lead the Credit and Collections function in order to maximize cash receipts
4. Lead the Cost Accounting function
5. Protect the assets of the company by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls
6. Interact with banks and other financial institutions
7. Develop and implement internal controls to reduce the risk of errors, omissions and fraud
8. Communicate the organization’s financial status by analyzing and summarizing information
9. Coordinate income tax preparation with the tax accounting firm
10. Serve as consultant to the President and other managers in order to facilitate the decision-making process by staying current with issues effecting the business
11. Perform any financial requests necessary to maintain or improve the business

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2. Minimum of 7 Years’ experience in an accounting supervisory position in a manufacturing company
3. Proficient using a recognized ERP and accounting system
