Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Controller to lead finance and accounting operations across our U.S. entities. This role operates within a shared services framework, with dual reporting to Daniel Craft (TEMA ISENMANN) and Buck Evers (SIEBTECHNIK TEMA). The Controller will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and planning, and will play a key role in supporting executive decision-making through robust Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

This position reports directly to the CEO and will manage two direct reports: the finance leads for each business unit requiring travel between the Cincinnati and Lexington locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Oversee AP/AR functions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with department heads.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and federal/state regulations.
• Coordinate and support external audits.
• Implement and optimize financial systems and ERP tools.
• Manage foreign exchange risk and treasury functions.
• Provide FP&A support including scenario modeling, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
• Supervise and develop finance staff across both entities.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management or controllership.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Demonstrated experience in FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a shared services or matrix reporting environment is a plus.

 

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with financial systems implementation or upgrades.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
