Job Description

Consulting Associate, Environmental Health and Safety Compliance (Entry Level) (Administrative) ERM is seeking a motivated Consulting Associate, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance to join our consulting firm in Washington, DC . In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers on EHS compliance, sustainability, and due diligence projects. This is an excellent career opportunity to collaborate with an expert team on challenging EHS projects for large industrial and global clients in the technology and transportation sectors. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist on EHS compliance, sustainability, and due diligence transaction projects. Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs. Perform EHS compliance assessments and implement corrective actions to ensure adherence to regulations. Support development of EHS compliance and management systems. Provide on-site EHS support to clients as needed. Conduct Phase I environmental site assessments to support property transactions. Perform environmental field work and on-site audits related to waste, chemicals, groundwater, soil, sediment, and surface water sampling. Conduct inspections, incident investigations, safety observations, job safety analyses, and risk assessments based on OSHA requirements. Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring quality standards. Support ERM Partners and Project Managers in project management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, science, occupational health and safety, or related field, or equivalent experience. Recent graduate to 1 year of EHS experience, preferably in technology, data centers, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing sectors. Certifications such as ASP, EIT, CHMM, OSHA30 are desirable. Effective communication and organizational skills. Willingness and ability to travel locally up to 60% of the time. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle. Ability to multi-task, work independently, and maintain flexibility. Local candidates only. Estimated annual base pay ranges from $66,880 to $77,317 USD, depending on various factors.
