Position : CNC Machinist/Programmer - Lathe Or Mill(Program, Set-up and Run)
Location : Morganton, NC(On-site) 
Duration : Full time & Direct Hire

Client Notes : We are seeking experienced  CNC Machinists who can  program, set up, and operate machines to produce precision parts. Our shop specializes in  aerospace , so a strong understanding of  GD&T is required. Candidates should be proficient in  Mastercam programming as well as on-machine programming.

Job Description:

• A Candidate for this position must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• The Candidate must also be skilled in creating CNC programs, setting the part up and running the part to attain repeatability and cycle time.
• This position must perform test runs and make adjustments until the resulting product meets blueprint specifications.
• Candidates that tend to be successful in this position are adaptable to a Job Shop environment; hands-on management style; are task and results oriented; and able to work and communicate with people at all levels from shop floor to top management.
• This is a detail-oriented position that requires a candidate that has considerable planning, judgment, and the ability to work independently while driving continuous improvement and optimization is all day-to-day activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with specified blueprints
• Develop Program for CNC machines in an organized, methodical, cost effective manner
• Commit to plant safety procedures and work with safety committee team members
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
• Supports  AS9100 & ISO requirements for quality policy and procedures
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
• Machine parts to hold tolerances per blueprint or solid modeling specifications

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years’ machining experience
• Able to program via manual, conversational or  CAM software
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge preferred
• Willing to work overtime as required
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of  MasterCam is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Possess computer and software skills
• Mathematical skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and possess good communication skills
• Ability to manage and handle consistent change to day-to-day operations and processes
