Job Description

Duration: 12 mo contract with possible 2 year extension

Location: Omaha, NE

Pay: $35/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of

Position Overview:

Our client is looking to stand up a Project Management Office (PMO) with the objective of creating a centralized department that establishes and maintains project management standards, processes, and best practices within an organization for electric distribution projects and operations. The primary goal is to ensure projects are executed efficiently, align with organizational objectives, and achieve desired outcomes.

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to support our client in the utilities industry. The Project Management Assistant team supports the Project Managers with administrative tasks related to distribution projects. Requiring expertise in creating requisitions, contract change requests, contract payment authorizations, project initiation and close out tasks. These tasks will need to be performed at various project stages from concept to close out and will utilize job aides provided by the client.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in contract change requests, document control, create and manage contract requestions, and payment authorizations.
  • Understanding of process flows, document control, and updating information in corresponding ERP systems.
  • Experience or exposure performing change request orders and payment authorization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance

Pluses:

  • Experience with project controls, scheduling, reviewing project financials
  • Process mapping experience – detailing out workflows and processes
  • Familiarity with diversity terms and commercial terms in contracts
  • Background in field estimates and cost management
  • Utility background
