Silver Airways currently provides more routes within Florida and to the Bahamas than any other regional airline; we need your help to keep our planes in the air and up to our safety standards as we expand into the Caribbean. As a maintenance supervisor, you are given the responsibility of overseeing our talented team of mechanics and ensuring that work, both scheduled and unscheduled, is completed in a timely manner, in accordance with company policy, and to the highest standard of workmanship.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the company's aircraft are maintained in accordance with acceptable maintenance practices and satisfy all regulatory requirements of the FAA
• Maintaining the welfare of employees and ensuring that safety in the workplace is the rule, not the exception
• Adherence to company policies and procedures
• Managing allocated resources in an efficient manner and to the satisfaction of the company
• Must maintain up-to-date status of the aircraft, and ensure this information is made available to the DOM
• Must control the flow and accuracy of all aircraft paperwork and records that are in the work process.
• Must provide an informative shift turnover
• Progressively train the personnel under direct report and facilitate and document all training
• Ensure that equipment and tooling is maintained in a serviceable condition or take the necessary actions to make them serviceable
• Maintain workspace and facility in a neat, clean, and orderly state
• Maintain a Foreign Object Debris: FOD-free environment
• Account for company issued tools prior to an aircraft being released
• Notify the DOM of any problems encountered while performing his or her duties

Minimum or Preferred Requirements:

• Minimum 5-8 years of aviation maintenance experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory position in the maintenance of high turbo prop aircraft
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, FBI fingerprint screening, 10-year criminal background check education and experience
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have valid passport and be able to travel without restrictions
• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• FAA Aircraft & Powerplant Certificate required
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
