This position is compensated with a Base Salary + Commission structure. Role

Under the direction of the FVP, Residential Mortgage Officer, the Affordable Housing Residential Loan Officer is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans with a focus on affordable housing programs and first-time home buyers. This role is critical in supporting the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) goals by expanding access to homeownership in underserved communities. Meet clients in the office, at Branch locations and in locations of convenience for the client. Responsible for the interview process, completion of the application and receipt of all supporting documentation. Sales related activity must be performed outside the office at a minimum of two hours a day, one to two times per week.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive loan interviews to determine applicants’ financial goals and eligibility. Explain affordable housing and first-time buyer mortgage products, including down payment assistance programs, and guide clients through the application process.
• Actively prospect and build relationships with local housing agencies, realtors, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders to generate referrals and promote affordable lending programs.
• Participate in community events, homebuyer education workshops, and seminars to increase awareness of the Bank’s affordable housing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to residential lending and CRA obligations.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, loan applications, and outreach activities. Provide regular reporting on community engagement and loan production.
• Maintains current knowledge and compliance with all regulatory BSA/AML, TRID, HMDA, CFPB and OFAC requirements and with all other bank policies, procedures and regulations
